(Import) Japanese Pro Wrestling for the Dreamcast.

The first wrestling game for the Dreamcast, and it's not based around any of the pro wrestling factions in America, but the Japanese pro wrestling circuit, of which I know nothing, the only problem with this is that the game is probably not going to get a Western release, which is a shame.
What I do know however is that this is a highly accomplished wrestling title that benefits from the Dreamcast's power. The first thing that strikes you is the graphical detail of the fighters, they feel solid and are very detailed, with great facial expressions that certainly adds to the atmosphere. The animation of the fighters is fluid and precise, one great benefit of the Dreamcast's high resolution is the coision detecting, which is very accuarte. Interestingly you may recognise three of the characters from Virtua Fighter, as Cage, Jeffery and Wolf make a somewhat surprising appearance as main characters, an interesting addition, but a good one.
The Dreamcast controller is well suited to the genre and the simple controls of the game mean that in no time you'll be pulling off complex, and impressive multiple grab combos and stuff (I'm not a wrestling buff unfortunately :). A nice addition are some somewhat impressive special effects when you pull of certain moves, which enhances them, and of course rubs it in to you're opponent, if they're human that is... Unfortunately the game features a lot of Japanese text, which means that we were unable to figure out all of the options, that did not however stop us having great fun playing this game, it just hampered the logevity somewhat.
This game is a great wrestling game, but given its somewhat Japanese orientation it seems like a western release is unlikely, that said if you need your Dreamcast wrestling fixed you may find it worthwhile to pick this up on import.
