Two million copies of Epic's shooter are sold just six weeks after Emergence Day...
Microsoft Game Studios and Epic Games have today confirmed that over two million copies of Gears of War have been sold worldwide since the game was released just six weeks ago - making it the fastest selling Xbox-exclusive title ever...
"'Gears of War' clearly has won the battle for the title of the must-have game of the year," said Richard Teversham, Director of Platform & Marketing, Home and Entertainment Division EMEA. "Its phenomenal success is one of many reasons why Xbox 360 is the ultimate place to get together with friends to play this Christmas."
"We've always held high hopes for 'Gears of War,' but we never expected such an overwhelmingly positive response from critics and gamers all over the world," said Michael Capps, President, Epic Games. "I can't describe how stoked our team is right now. Our fans can absolutely count on Epic to keep delivering new gameplay through Xbox Live(r)."
Microsoft keeps the stats coming, confirming that over one million gamers have taken Gears online, playing ten million gameplay sessions - and unlocking seven million achievements in the process. The game has sat at the top of the Xbox Live list of most popular games since it was released in November, surpassing 2004's Halo 2.
The Master Chief and the boys from Bungie have their work cut out...

Gears PC deserves 9.5/10. I found what Gears PC has better graphics than Gears 360. I realy enjoy Gears PC!
