Len Wiseman To Direct Gears Movie News

The Director of the Underworld movies will shoot the upcoming Gears of War movie from New Line Cinema...

Len Wiseman will direct the upcoming Gears of War movie from New Line Cinema according to reports from Variety, while Chris Morgan has been employed to rewrite the existing script for the film.

Len Wiseman's previous projects include the Underworld movies and his latest directorial post on Live Free or Die Hard.

Although Stuart Beattie was the original author of the movie's script (he was also penning the Halo flick alongside Alex Garland before it was canned), Chris Morgan has now been bought on board to write a new draft for the production.

Morgan previously scribed The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift and he also wrote the screenplay for the very soon to be unleashed Wanted.

Due to this further development of the project, the Gears of War movie may ship later than its originally scheduled summer 2009 window.
