Ben Feder states that Take-Two Interactive won't release any sales figures for GTA IV: The Lost and Damned...
Take-Two Interactive's Director and CEO, Ben Feder, has drawn a line under sales figures for Rockstar's GTA IV: The Lost and Damned game add-on by stating that "We haven't released numbers, and we won't."
Feder made the comments in an interview with Gamespot, although he did note that Take-Two has been "very pleased" with the DLC's performance on Xbox Live. What we don't know is whether that means they're "very pleased" in a money-throwing-party kind of way, or in an at-least-it's-not-riddled-with-glitches way.
So far, all we know about sales figures for GTA IV: The Lost and Damned is that they total more than 323,000 downloads. Microsoft's Director of Product Management for Xbox 360 and Live, Aaron Greenberg, revealed that much after the publication of February NPD figures, when he commented:
"If that content was sold at retail, it would be one of the best sellers across all platforms. It would have outsold Killzone 2," which had totalled 323,000 unit sales at that point, although The Lost and Damned had been on sale for 12 days compared to two days for Killzone 2.
Greenberg also stated that The Lost and Damned was "the most successful game add-on content we've ever launched" at the time, which suggests that its sales must be far in excess of 323,000 (but we'd pretty much assumed that anyway).
Whatever the case, if Take-Two aren't prepared to talk about it then we're probably never going to know whether Microsoft's alleged $50 million was worth it.

lol VVVVV "o the kid that thinks an xbox 360 or ps3 is more expensive than a gaming computer. Go back to school and learn basic math (like addition and subtraction), you should have been spit out of your moms mouth way back when. Last time I checked, $300 is cheaper than $1,000 dollars. Unless you think a e-machine from kmart is a gaming machine, your dumb. thats 12 year old technology that is probably older than you. go thank your parents who bought you your console because in all honesty, you don't deserve it. I'm surprised you can even turn the damn thing on let alone actually use it." You're right and most gaming consoles are $1000 but thats if you buy them built... rather than making them yourself, like me.
