Rockstar empathises with PS3 owners who feel jilted by GTA IV's Xbox 360 exclusive DLC...
In a recent Q&A post on Rockstar's Newswire, the publisher has promised that it will make it up to PS3 owners who are disappointed that GTA IV's Episodes From Liberty City have not arrived on the Sony console yet, following a alleged $50 million exclusivity deal with Microsoft for the DLC.
In answer to a question about why The Ballad of Gay Tony hasn't been released on PS3, a Rockstar rep answered, "We know that it continues to be an often-asked question - and believe us, we understand the frustration of PS3 owners like yourself who haven't been able to play any of our most recent releases. All we can say is that we at Rockstar promise to be very good to you with our releases in 2010. Please stay with us and stay tuned!"
At E3 last year, Rockstar announced the PS3 exclusive Agent (in development at Rockstar North), which was slated for a 2010 release at the time. Very little has been heard of the title since, casting doubt on this initial 2010 window, although Rockstar might be hoping to bring PS3 owners back to its side with more details on this title later in the year.
Another possibility is the much spoken about port of The Lost And Damned/Ballad of Gay Tony to PS3, following rumours that Microsoft's exclusivity deal for the DLC is merely a timed one. We'll let you know as soon as we know more...
