Multiplayer Heading to GTA: Chinatown Wars??? News

There's little information on the ground so far, but does the teaser site for GTA DS suggest online multiplayer...

GTA: Chinatown Wars

Without doubt, two of the head turning announcements of E3 2008 have been Final Fantasy XIII on Xbox 360 and GTA: Chinatown Wars on Nintendo DS, both of which came like a bolt from the blue.

A debut trip to Liberty City on a Nintendo platform is certainly an eye-opener, even if information on the game itself is pretty scarce so far.

However, a quick look at the game's teaser site heavily suggests that one key feature of Chinatown Wars may just be online multiplayer over Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Whilst there's no confirmation of this from Rockstar to date, the appearance of the service's blue-toned icon at the bottom of the official website does point that way - the return of Liberty City Survivor, perhaps?

I have a hunch some people are waiting for the DSi to be released before they buy GTA: Chinatown Wars. The game is really, really awesome though, in my humble opinion.

And heads up, GameStop’s got a Chinatown Wars contest to win a “mob boss experience” on their site, [gamestopchinatown] dot... Airfare for 4 to New York, private limo, hotel, model entourage, VIP room at a club, bodyguard and $5000 in cash. It’d be a pretty sweet deal, especially in this recession. Free to enter.

Madworld only got a cackle of maniacle glee from me during boss encounters.  The rest was too repetitive.

Glad to hear that Chinatown Wars delivers a solid and imaginative Nintendo DS experience.  I wouldn't expect anything less than that from Rockstar!

"is gta china town wars on ps3"

õ.õ ok... I've tried this and its not that bad, the only downfalls are the irregular frame rate and in game glitches, for example, if you drive a really fast car/bike sometimes you drive into places b4 the game can process the environment... Besides that its all good. :D

Let's just say that if you like the classic GTAs and you're not expecting Chinatown Wars to rival GTA IV, then you'll really enjoy it.
