GTA: Chinatown Wars will feature a drug dealing mini-game when it comes to Nintendo's DS in the coming months...
In what could prove to be sensationalist fodder for the inner pages of Britain's tabloids, Rockstar's Dan Houser has revealed that there will be a drug dealing mini-game in the upcoming Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars for Nintendo's DS.
"We wanted to have a drug-dealing mini-game in lots of the GTA games. We played with it a little in Vice City Stories, because it worked really well juxtaposed with the main story," Houser comments in this month's issue of Edge (via CVG).
The mini-game will reportedly allow players to sell exotic and illicit substances such as heroin, ecstasy, cocaine, downers, and marijuana. We can just about see the headlines now: DRUG DEALING SIMULATOR FURY; GAME SENT MY SON TO JAIL, etc.
"It works well with what GTA is," Houser continued, "with driving around the map, and it gives you another thing to think about - another layer or piece of the puzzle to keep you motivated."
Rockstar has linked the mini-game into Chinatown Wars' main plot-arc in parts as well, as the publisher's Vice-President of Creativity explains once again: "It does intersect with the main story and things you learn from it work with the story, but it mostly runs on its own."

post 10 gta4 on ps3 does the same so dont go ripping into other formats (game runs to slow for environment to load up resulting in dodgy looking textures and buildings not loading up in time when using fast cars or bikes or sceens where lots of explosions are going off for example)

I have a hunch some people are waiting for the DSi to be released before they buy GTA: Chinatown Wars. The game is really, really awesome though, in my humble opinion.
And heads up, GameStop’s got a Chinatown Wars contest to win a “mob boss experience” on their site, [gamestopchinatown] dot... Airfare for 4 to New York, private limo, hotel, model entourage, VIP room at a club, bodyguard and $5000 in cash. It’d be a pretty sweet deal, especially in this recession. Free to enter.

Madworld only got a cackle of maniacle glee from me during boss encounters. The rest was too repetitive.

Glad to hear that Chinatown Wars delivers a solid and imaginative Nintendo DS experience. I wouldn't expect anything less than that from Rockstar!
