Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland confirmed for a September release on Nintendo DS...

Nintendo has today confirmed a September 14th release for Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland on Nintendo DS. Uncovering the story of Legend of Zelda side-character Tingle, Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland reveals the origins of the unusual entity as he tries to accumulate enough wealth to enter the paradise known as 'Rupeeland'.

Utilising the Nintendo DS' functionality, players have to complete quests and explore dungeons all in the name of making a profit. But being a money-hungry fairy, Tingle also has to take care of himself; thankfully he'll be able to hire a couple of bodyguards to protect him, and they'll also help him out with lock-picking too. It turns out that Tingle is a keen cartographer too, enabling players to create maps of their adventure for extra rupees...

It had been speculated that the game, originally released across Japan back in September 2006, wouldn't be launched in the West. However, a poll held by Nintendo of America earlier in 2007 seemed to test the water for Freshly Picked, before the game was officially revealed to be heading outside of Japan back in June.

this game is very under rated, especially in reviews such as this one. its a bit of a love it or hate it type of game but anyone looking for a quirky, light hearted and genuinely funny RPG should check it out.

I love this game too but finding it tedious atthe moment cos I can't find any more recipes and seem to be getting the same old ingredients so it's the same thing over again!

If you play this, heed my warning that the tower shrinks back down if you don't give it rupees when Pingle requests you to!!That means ages selling fireworks and juice to make the tower rise, only to see it shrink again!! Aaargh! I still love the game though, in a masochistic sort of way.
