Microsoft's flagship driving sim has EA's biggest sports series eating its dust...
Microsoft and Turn 10 Studios' Forza Motorsport 4 has done a turbo-charged launch off the starting line right to the top of the UK chart this week, leaving the likes of EA's FIFA 12, Ubisoft's Just Dance 3, and Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 2012 spluttering in its exhaust fumes.
It was a close run thing though: according to official Chart-Track figures, only 700 unit sales made up the difference between Forza 4 at No.1 and FIFA 12 at No.2 – Turn 10's sim also managed to scoop the biggest launch week for any Microsoft racing game in UK chart history.
Two new entries, Just Dance 3 and PES 2012, sandwiched id's Rage at No.4 (which drops two places), while Gears of War 3 and Zumba Fitness similarly incured two spot drops to No.6 and No.8 respectively as they made way for the new entries.
It's Dark Souls and F1 2011 that suffered the most on the top 10 this week though: both moved down four places to No.7 and No.9 while another new entry, Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge squared off the top 10.
