Microsoft lays down the challenge to Polyphony Digital, promising 60 fps, 60 tracks and over 300 cars in Forza 2...
Playing a large part of Microsoft's E3'06 showing and highlighting the possibilities of Live Anywhere, further details on Forza 2 were today divulged.
Perhaps as a dig at Sony and Polyphony Digital, Microsoft assures us that Forza 2 will be much more then a reworking of the original with High-Definition visuals. The graphics engine behind the game is capable of maintaining 60 fps throughout the game, equalling Polyphony's efforts on the Playstation3.
With over 60 circuits and tracks to choose from, Forza 2 will feature more than 300 cars to drive, including those from manufacturers such as Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, Nissan and General Motors.
Following the original Forza 2 will offer a high degree of tuning and customisation options, which could take advantage of Live Anywhere functionality such as designing decals on your PC or checking out car stats on a mobile phone.
Forza 2 is scheduled for release before the end of the year alongside the Xbox 360 force-feedback steering wheel; looks as though Kazunori Yamauchi and his team have got their work cut out...

well thats realy bad news nissan going to granny turismo i guess we will have to put up with nismo insted lol besides is it realy a big loss even though there are over 10 different nissans in fm2 not that thats a problem theres ferrari lambos porsche ect im sure gt5 will be a good game just like all sequels better grahpics same game play same game lol just newer cars and lots of very very similar spec cars so thats about 500 new cars take out all the duoplicates and your left with about 30 cars that you might use only a few times

I personally love this game. I agree with the anonymous comment about Mazda history. A L10A (or L10B) Cosmosport would be much appreciated.

what do people think to new body classes? such as suv or mpv or even cooler a van.... just imagine a ford transit and being able to convert the engine with a escort cosworth rs or even rediculously a ford gt. can you imagine the fun you could have with these 3 overweight classes and seeing people do 200mph+ in a transit. i hope turn 10 see this review and see the cool side to these new body classes and what fun they would be to race online with. let me know what all you guys think...

Man, why do you all want really bad cars...anyway, I played this this the other day, after playing the original forza (which was good but not exactly gripping) I was far more impressed with FM2. The only real annoying factor being the load times every few screens; they should be a thing of the past!
