Sports Interactive gears up to the new season with the announcement of Football Manager 2011...
With no sign of Eidos’ Championship Manager this year it seems SEGA and Sports Interactive have an open goal right in front of them with today’s announcement of Football Manager 2011.
Top of the list of new features is the inclusion of real-time contract negotiations. Having worked alongside a “multitude of real-life football agents”, Sports Interactive promises the most realistic negotiations possible. Different types of agents will pop up in the game each of which have their own personality and require varying approaches to sign the deal.
In addition, Football Manager 2011 also boasts yet another training revamp resulting in what Sports Interactive describes as “the most intuitive training system in the series history”. Central to this is the inclusion of a new Match Preparation area that allows the team to focus on specific individual areas ahead of a big match. The training system also includes more basic training schedules for players and 14 individual skill areas that a player can focus upon.
Interaction with players, staff and the board also see improvements with a host of new boardroom and backroom requests, alongside a new player interaction dynamic that allows managers to hear private conversations with players and public conversations regarding players at other clubs.
Finally the 3D Match Engine brings further improvements with over 100 new animations, new player models, stadiums, pitch textures, improved lighting and floodlit night matches.
We’re currently putting a few questions to Sports Interactive’s Miles Jacobson, so make sure to keep your eyes peeled for further information soon.
In the meantime make sure to check out Miles giving the first glimpse of the game in action below.

Hi,
I recommend you a great new online manager game. You can play football and hockey, but with time will grow as other sports. So go ahead and play!
Sorry, for my bad English :)

Whoever said it was coming to PS3? There was an Xbox 360 version a few years ago but that was later canned due to a poor user-interface. Where is all of this PS3 speculation coming from?

great game, im also against the idea of it to be put on PS3, its a perfect game for PC on a lazy day at home and its very addictive. i would recommend it to all football lovers.

Hi, I'm a huge fan of football manager, but regardless i'll keep this short... Bring it back out on the xbox 360! I know the reason to discontinue it was for the poor implementation of the controls, but i honestly didn't care, and neither did anyone I know care either. You're missing a huge fanbase, and we're missing out on a fantastic game
