SEGA Europe confirms that due to the actions of certain retailers, the latest instalment of the management sim is now on general release...
SEGA Europe has announced that the release of Sports Interactive's Football Manager 2007 has been brought forward from Friday 20th October to today (18th October). In a statement, the publisher cites certain retailers "ignoring the official release date" as the reason behind the move.
The full statement from SEGA Europe and Sports Interactive is as follows:
"SEGA and Sports Interactive would like to announce that the official street date for Football Manager 2007 on PC / Mac has been brought forward to Wednesday, October 18th. As a result of certain retail outlets ignoring the official release date of October 20th, SEGA and Sports Interactive have acted to ensure that Football Manager 2007 is available to all of our loyal fans. We are in the process of communicating this new date to all of our retail partners."
