Sports Interactive's acclaimed football management series is heading to Microsoft's next-gen format...

Having previously confirmed that a PSP version is in the works, SEGA and Sports Interactive today announced that the heavily acclaimed Football Manager series will be making an appearance on the Xbox360.

Scheduled for release during Spring 2006 Football Manager 2006 promises to be the most accurate representation available, although its 2D match engine and endless tables of figures are hardly likely to tax the 360â??s graphical power.

â??Finally a home console system is being released that can do Football Manager justiceâ?, comments Miles Jacobson, Managing Director of Sports Interactive. â??We promise the most in-depth console management experience ever! â?

â??Itâ??s only fitting that the most powerful games console in the market has the most popular and powerful football management gameâ? commented Matt Woodley, Creative Director of SEGA â??Iâ??m particularly impressed by the way SI have re-designed the interface and controls to make it Xbox 360 perfectâ?.

Football Manager 2006 is scheduled for release on the PC/Mac during November 2005, followed by the PSP and Xbox360 in spring 2006; weâ??ll have further information soon.
