UK discount site interprets visit data to suggest a healthier interest in the Xbox 360 version...
Statistics can prove everything, that's the wonderful thing about them. If research from MyVoucherCodes is led to be believed than Final Fantasy XIII on the Xbox 360 will outsell the PS3 version by a ratio of two to one.
Basing their judgement on searches through the month of February, the website registered 250,000 unique searches for the Xbox 360 version, compared with a mere 120,000 for the PS3 title.
Now we don't need to point out the fact that this isn't exactly the be all and end all, and hardly quantifies itself as a fair and exact experiement; however, MyVoucherCodes Mark Pearson, managing director had the following warning for Sony execs:
“The Final Fantasy series has always been a huge draw for Sony, since its debut on the PlayStation in the form of Final Fantasy VII.
“For Microsoft to now be sharing and in fact beating the interest for the PS3 version must be worrying Sony chiefs, who must be wondering just how to steal the march back, if it is at all possible. Our Christmas sales data showed that Xbox 360s were outselling PlayStation 3s three to one in the holiday period, a fact which seems to be presenting itself here as consumers show more interest in the Xbox 360 title.”
TVG will be bringing you its opinion on Square-Enix's latest on March 5th when the embargo lifts - for the record, we've got the Xbox 360 version.

I didn't enjoy this game personelly. It had to much tunnel vision for me. The gaphics and story were good the battle system was ok. But the game lacked "choice". It was like watching a movie while fiddling with a remote. I won't pre-order another game from Square again. I felt pretty let down and disappointed.

I definitely think that the franchise should go back to a more original format. I loved FFVIII, FFVII, and FFX because they had awesome gamestyles, storylines, music etc. and kept to the awesome ff tradition. Honestly, if it's not broken then why fix it?

This game was an absolute piece of crap. I wouldn't care if it looked like it was on the PS1 if it was actually a good story, had good music, wasn't so freaking BORING and LINEAR and wasn't a futuristic kaleidescope of overdesigned vomit.

This game is fantastic. I've played Final Fantasy X, XII, and X-II
This is my favorite. The battle system isn't cut and dry like this review makes it seem. Most of the time, the auto-battle button just picks the enemy's obvious weakness, when a lot of the enemies on the game have to be beaten with a weakness that Libra doesn't spoon-feed you. The Eidolon battles are also very intense as well, and the visuals this game uses really ties it in with everything.
This review does not give this game its proper credit. End o' story.

Finally an FF game that doesn't revolve around summoners. Every game after 7 was about following or obtaining summoners and summons.

nearly in 2011 when we have only just got in 2010 its only the 5th month you know maybe around november time and you could say nearly 2011, as for the remake youll miles off as SE are working on ff13vs and ff14 not only that but they also helped with just cause 2 aswell i doubt they have had any time to do a remake of ff7 at all if they are then id guess its only about 30% complete (remember its a remake starting from the ground up not an update)

i think the game is almost complet , think square has been lying to our face about no remake think about almost evertying is already done in hi res if u watch advent children on blu ray they would just have to program the legs of it to play the game

well if that's the case they should have tried to remake it case the tech demo was back in 2006 or so when the ps3 was first introduced and now we're nearly oin 2011 if they would have tried to remake it, it would have been nearly completed because that's 5 years think about it

lol ok so what your saying is that using what was the latest media disk had no impact on the game its self, right so why diddnt they carry on using cd-r's for ff10,11 or 12 with the exception that 13 came out on blu-ray for ps3 and dvd for 36o.
when ff came into the 32bit era SE (square soft) used the latest technology (ps1) available as with the (128bit) ps2 so now they have the option of blu-ray with its limitless disk size essentially resulting in a game that can be many times the size of a game restricted by DVD9's disk size, no thanks to microsoft they could have used HD-DVD but microsoft scrapped it and so the game was restricted by sh.i.t.ty dvd9's resulting it what many have called the worst ff game ever made.
maybe you should instead considder moaning at microsoft instead of taking it out on blu-ray and ps3, sony made sure the ps3 had at least a 10 year life cycle instead of the usual 5 years (apart from the ps2 which has lasted over 9 years and people are still buying games for it, hows that for support) and take not ff13 did not come out for the ps2 as it would not have been possable but now it is thanks to the 360's limits

ok the disc or size of it should make no difference ff7,8,9 where on cd-r discs and were gr8 , square has gotten slack since becoming square-enix , bring back squaresoft and real rpg's plz
