Rumours earlier in the week of a new chapter in the Final Fantasy XII story appear to be true, and it seems the title is heading to the Nintendo DS after all.

Revealed in the pages of Shohen Jump magazine, details on Final Fantasy XII: Revenant Wings remain virtually non-existent at the present time, though the game reportedly focuses on the continuing stories of Vaan and Penelo. The announcement signifies an ever healing bond between Nintendo and Square-Enix, which has already seen the RPG giant already commit its heavy franchises to the Nintendo Wii.

The report also confirmed the release of the similarly rumoured Kingdom Hearts II: Final Mix, which will introduce a card-combat feature similar to the GBA title, Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories.
