New details have recently emerged relating to the world in which Final Fantasy XI is set. It will be based in Vana Dir where a number of tribes live and where sorcery and technology both exist. <br /> <br /> While specific plot details are still scarce, we do know that the game involves battling against a resurrected evil existence and searching for crystals. <br /> <br /> Hironobu Sakaguchi, the creator of the Final Fantasy series, says that he wants the game's story to be much more involved than that of previous online RPGs. To the point that Sakaguchi wants the Final Fantasy XI universe to have a history to it and a plot that encompasses this history. <br />
