EA's Peter Moore has stated that EA Sports MMA and Fight Night will be released in alternating years...

EA Sports' top trump, Peter Moore, has outlined a strategy to deliver one fighting game every year, where the division's Fight Night and recently announced Mixed Martial Arts series will be released in alternating, yearly increments.

"It gives us a rhythm of a fighting game every year," Moore told Kotaku. "That's the plan. If you think of 2010, we're bringing MMA. In 2011, Fight Night Round 5," although he was quick to clarify that he wasn't announcing Fight Night Round 5 officially.

Meanwhile, Fight Night Round 4 is due to release in Europe later this month and, if our recent hands on is anything to go by, then it should pack quite a punch.

I like the control setup, it's easy to use. I read somewhere else someone saying it was impossible to throw a left hook. Er...no it isn't.

I still don't understand why people don't like the control setup - it's intuitive and responsive, what more do you need?

Ahhh you big girls' blouse - all of ya.  Afraid of something a little different - gotta admit I wouldn't like to see analogue controls is somehting like Street Fighter IV, but it perfectly suits Fight Night.

I can't believe they have taken the buttons off !! Great shame, the analogue stick doesn't work for me, spoilt my summer and I won't be buying the game now. Well done EA for messing up another big title game. If it's not broken don't try and fix it !!!!

Where's your gaming spirit? If it's a good game and the controls feel intuitive, then a true gamer would rise to a difficult challenge.

Agreed,

I don't understand how a community of 2000 people can get EA to make their game LESS accessable to newcommers, and button veterans alike. Trying to go between the analog sticks of fight night R4, and the precise button combinations of UFC 09 will be a nightmare. It's already tough enough.
