Long-awaited Ubisoft developed FPS set to make an appearance at E3 followed by an Autumn 2005 release...

Ubisoft has today announced that Far Cry Instincts has been pencilled in for an Autumn 2005 release on â??the consolesâ??, but a demo of the eagerly anticipated title will be available to play at the E3 expo next month.

The original title, which was developed by Crytek and released on the PC was a huge hit and Instincts title will hopefully do the same for the consoles; although there has been something of a media blackout surrounding the PlayStation2 version of the game to date.

Announcing the news, Tony Kee, Vice President of Marketing for Ubisoft said, â??Ubisoft is blending the winning formula of Far Cry® for the PC with the hardware capabilities of the consoles. The result â?“ an intense action-packed gameplay experience that will raise the bar for the First-Person Shooter Survival genreâ?¦In Far Cry Instinctsâ?¢, players will become the Ultimate Predator, as they are forced to outlast the wilderness hell and unleash every imaginable survival tactic and skill.â?

Weâ??ll have more on Far Cry: Instincts (including hopefully more on the PS2 version) next month...
