The power of CryTek's next-gen technology is revealed - please let it be used in Far Cry 2...

Impressing all when the original Far Cry was released in 2003, CryTek has released a demo movie for its next-generation engine, CryEngine. Featuring a range of next-gen visual effects including High Dynamic Range techniques including blooming, as well as soft particles, volumetric clouds, and one of the most stunning sunsets, the short video certainly gets across the company's intentions for their future titles.

With the demo set on a tropical island, we can only hope that it won't be too long until the true Far Cry sequel, utilising the new engine, is announced...
