Ubisoft writer confirms that a third title in the franchise is currently in the works and looking pretty exciting...
With sales of more than 3 million copies a sequel to Ubisoft's Far Cry 2 always seemed to be more a case of 'when' rather than 'if', particularly considering that the French publisher went to the lengths of acquiring the franchise from CryTek back in 2006.
Speaking to Ubisoft writer Kevin Shortt, Official PlayStation Magazine (via CVG) brings word that the third title is indeed in the pipeline.
"No I'm not," Shortt replied when asked whether he was working on the title. "But I know the team are and what I've seen looks pretty exciting."

I have gone through this Far Cry 2 game 7 times now on sp, and am starting #8 today. Diff. weapons this time and diff. strategy. Still not too bored with it. But I am certainly wanting the next installment to come out soon. And maybe with a better editor. Or they could just give us some new mission add on's for FC2. At any rate, HURRY UP and get FC3 out to your fans.

Instead of Africa they should do something in Bosnia in 1993, that would be interesting
