Fallout 3: Broken Steel Details & Dated News

At yesterday's London press event Bethesda confirmed a release date for the third Fallout 3, Broken Steel, along with extra

Following fan feedback, Broken Steel removes the finite ending of the game and allows players to carry on their adventures without any limits.

Following the main character's exploits, Broken Steel takes place two weeks after the main quest concludes and centres largely around the Brotherhood's need to create a new Tesla Cannon weapon and the ability to purify water and distribute it across the wastelands.

The DLC also ups the level cap from 20 to 30, with suggestions that the extra levels are geared steeply to provide an enduring challenge. New weapons, enemies and perks are all included in the package, including a 'Puppies' perk to reincarnate Dogmeat whenever he dies.

Broken Steel will be released for the Xbox 360 and PC on May 5th.

Obsidian are doing New Vegas, and the team comprises of many former Black Isle staff who worked on the first two Fallout titles. Fallout: New Vegas was announced back in April - it is NOT Falloout 4!
