Quantic Dreams` paranormal thriller goes gold ahead of a September 16th launch date...
Atari has today announced that Fahrenheit, developed by Quantic Dreams, had gone gold. The game, which has been in development since 2001, was originally designed to be episodic with monthly releases furthering the engaging storyline. The road to release has been fraught with several problems that has seen the episodic concept dropped and publishing rights switching from VU Games to Atari.
"It's rare that a video game pushes back the boundaries to create a different, yet vitally still enthralling, experience for gamers in the way that Fahrenheit does," said Cyril Voiron, Marketing Director, Atari Europe. "The evidence of countless members of the press and the huge number of consumers lucky enough to have played the demo all points in one direction: this is a game you must play to have a genuine glimpse at what the future of interactive entertainment can be."
A demo of the game can be downloaded from atari.com/fahrenheit for those wanting to sample the gameplay, and you can read our Hands On impressions of Fahrenheit here.
Fahrenheit will be released on Xbox, PlayStation2, and PC on September 16th, weâ??ll have more shortlyâ?¦
