Peter Molyneux talks about Lionhead's plans for more Fable sequels, Project X, and sports games...

Lionhead Studio's head honcho, Peter Molyneux, has revealed that the studio already has plans for three further Fable games after Fable 2.

Speaking in an interview with Gametrailers, Molyneux said, "We've got plans for Fable 3, 4 and 5 actually. It's a big story-arc and you can see that if you play Fable 2, you'll recognise things from Fable 1, so that's pretty exciting."

That would be a Fable pentrilogy then presumably. Molyneux also had a few choice words on the studio's so-called Project X:

"But there is another project at Lionhead that we've been working on for quite some time. It's the result of an experiment that went incredibly well and we thought, 'This has got to be a game'. I can't say anything about it at all."

What he did have something to say about, though, was the sort of project he'd like to do next:

"I've always been fascinated by challenges and I've always said to myself, 'One day I really should do a sports game,' just simply because it seems like a genre that's locked in stone, you know, 'We know how we do sports games. We don't do it any other way,' and that is a real challenge to me. It's the same with things like driving games and those sorts of games. What I want for the game that I do next is a really big challenge."

TVG is cringing at the prospect of a driving game set in Fable 2's open world.
