No more gold hording in Fortune's Tower, as Microsoft releases a patch to stop the exploit...
Gold diggers beware; the Fable II Pub Games exploit - which allowed gamers to gather masses of wealth in the Xbox Live Arcade title - has been patched.
The cheat, activated with the left bumper after placing a bet in Fortune's Tower, enabled players to accumulate gold stocks with every turn. However, the 'hole' in the code was turned on its head thanks to recent comments from Lionhead's Peter Molyneux.
Last week, Molyneux suggested that the 'cheat' was intentionally added to the game, and that exploiters may face some consequences for their sly ways. Of course, we'll just have to wait for Fable II's launch to see exactly what those consequences will be; perhaps the child character will show some sort of physical trait at the start of the game?
