Regional FIFA Winner Announced News

Earl’s Court placed host to one of the regional finals of the FIFA Interactive World Cup Qualifiers, ready for the finals in Zurich next month…

Live! FIFA 2005 gamers have been participating in qualifying campaign for the Regional Finals around the globe for the past month now, and sadly weâ??d like to point out that none of us here at TVG Towers were able to perform to our best and reach the event at Earlâ??s Court.

Instead, the eventual winner of the Regional Event was Paul Gordon from Croydon, who battled through to beat 15-year old Swansea lad Simon Pike, who now goes on to represent the UK at the tournament finals in Zurich in December.

Talking about his successful campaign in London, Gordon said that, â??This match was as thrilling as a real FIFA World Cup match with real national teamsâ?¦The experience as a whole exceeded all my expectations. It was great to meet one of my football idols, Darius Vassell, and have brilliant DJâ??s like Tim Westwood, spin some records while I battled my way through the rounds. The whole experience was so cool and Iâ??m honoured to represent the UK in the FIFA Interactive World Cup Finals in Zurich.â?
