FIFA 12 claims the third biggest launch week in UK chart history...
It won't come as much of a surprise to hear that FIFA 12 has debuted atop the UK chart this week, but what might be a little more surprising is that it's done this while enjoying the third most sales ever in a launch week according to Chart-Track's figures.
With only the previous two Call of Duty games enjoying bigger launch weeks, FIFA 12 replaced Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto IV as the third biggest launch in UK chart history. Shoot over to our review of the game to find out why.
Another new entry graced the top 10 in Sony's Ico & Shadow of the Colossus Collection at No.7. It brings together Team Ico's critically revered back-catalogue on the PS2, with revamped HD visuals and Trophy support on PS3.
Call of Duty: Black Ops returned to the sharp end of the chart yet again at the No.10 spot, although movement elsewhere across the top 10 was pretty stagnant. Gears of War 3 and F1 2011 moved down one place each to No.2 and No.3 respectively due to the arrival of FIFA 12, while Dead Island dropped two places to No.5 and Deus Ex: Human Revolution held on with a one place slip to No.6. Driver San Francisco also suffered a two place demotion to No.8 with the arrival of new entries above it.
