Subscription service offers access to games three days ahead of their retail launch...
EA Sports has announced a Season Ticket programme for the publisher's four major titles: FIFA, Madden NFL Football, Tiger Woods PGA Tour, and NHL Hockey (the first game to use it will be Madden 12, which launches on September 2nd in the UK).
The Season Ticket, which is available for 2000 Microsoft Points (£17) via Xbox Live from today, acts as a yearlong pass for exclusive and discounted content across EA Sports' biggest IPs.
Using the Season Ticket, players can gain access to digitally distributed versions of EA Sports' titles three days before they're released in the shops (the digital version then times out on day three but progress can be carried through to a purchased retail copy).
Other bonus content from the ticket includes a 20% discount on all premium DLC, free access to premium web content such as FIFA 12's Creation Centre customisation tools, and exclusive membership recognition badges both in-game and on EASports.com profiles.
Although the Season Ticket is available for both Xbox 360 and PS3 users in the US, PS3 users in Europe will not have access to the program for the time being. According to a Eurogamer report, EA Sports is yet to reach a licensing agreement for the Season Ticket with Sony Europe.
