EA announces a new game mode for FIFA 10 called Ultimate Team, alongside sales of 4.5 million copies so far...
FIFA 10 has sold through a mighty 4.5 million copies worldwide since its launch on October 2nd, making it Europe's top-selling game so far this year with a 26% increase in sales over FIFA 09 for the same period a year ago, publisher EA has announced.
This popularity on the high street has been reflected online as well, with a tally of over 113 million online games having been played on Xbox 360 and PS3 to date. To bolster this presence, EA has also announced an incoming new mode called FIFA 10 Ultimate Team.
The mode will be an expanded version of the Ultimate Team feature in last year's game, except FIFA 10's version will be "deeper, more authentic, [and] more dynamic," according to the EA press blurb.
As with FIFA 09's Ultimate Team mode (which was also added post-release), players will be challenged to build a dream team of footballers using their managerial panache and then compete with that team online. Unlike last year's mode (which was free), FIFA 10 Ultimate Team will set players back 400 Microsoft Points (£3.40).
According to EA, this year's mode has "dynamically updated online tournaments", "A completely redesigned chemistry system, built around player relationships on the pitch", and the ability to "manage one or multiple squads simultaneously". We'll have to wait until the DLC's release in February to see whether it's worth the surcharge.

I think that you should make a mode where you can create your own team from scratch e.g. with a new symbol, team colours and name. I think that included in that mode we should be able to choose what players we want in the team, they could be our favourite ones from big clubs suac as messi and ronaldo or we could make a fully custimised squad with new player that we have created. I then think that we should choose what league we want our team to be in. Comprende?

I would like them to make the injuries to a player seem more realistic. I'd find it more challenging if they might be out for a lot of games rather than just two or three games. This aspect really needs changing and I hope they do it for FIFA 11.
