FIFA 09 Breaks Through 2 Million UK Sales News
EA's legendary football series enjoys its fastest selling iteration to date, with 2 million UK sales so far...
By Gwynne DixonPosted: 09/01/2009
On top of beating out Call of Duty: World at War for the Christmas No.1 spot and returning to the top of the UK charts for the first week of 2009, EA's FIFA 09 has sold over 2 million units so far in the UK alone, making it the fastest selling FIFA game in the series' history.
"The studio created a game that appeals to everyone. We've listened to our consumers and delivered the game they wanted with rich gameplay and innovation," EA's Marketing Manager in the UK, Dan Holman, told MCV before adding: "We have now sold in excess of 2 million in the UK making it the fastest selling FIFA title to date."
"We're confident this will be the best-selling FIFA game to date but we still have some way to go," he continued. "We are continuing to work with several Premier and Football League teams so we'll look to create initiatives around key matches."
FIFA bettered PES across the board this season, not only in terms of chart performance and sales, but also in terms of critical acclaim. PES 2009's Metacritic score averaged out at 75 on the next-gen consoles, while FIFA 09 scored an impressive 87 (compared to FIFA 08's score of 82). minimum ram should be the least of your worrys if you have 3 or more gb and your using win xp/vista 32bit edittion then anymore ram is pointless as windows doesnt recognise any more ram if you have the 64bit version however then having 3gb or more is ok cause it recognises the memory, other than that if your graphics card/cpu are of a low budget pc then youll have to run the game with every thing on low settings so youll need a cpu like a core 2 duo and a graphics card like an x3850 to be able to make it look like what it does on a console like the 360 or ps3.

I'm not entirely sure whether "minimum" and "ideal" go hand in hand, but you're looking at least 1GB to get something approaching decent play.
