Days ahead of launching in North America, EA Sports has confirmed that FIFA 09 has become the fastest selling instalment in the football franchise ever.
Since it launched across Europe last week, over 1.2 million copies of the game have been sold, becoming number one in several charts, including the UK, Ireland, and Denmark.
"FIFA 09's great kick off is a testament to our loyal fans across Europe who simply can't wait to get their hands on the game," said Peter Moore, President of EA SPORTS. "FIFA 09 is EA's best football offering to date featuring game modes such as Be A Pro: Seasons, 10 vs. 10 Online Team Play, FIFA 09 "Clubs" and the adidas Live Season service. This is our fastest selling FIFA game of all time and it's rewarding to see the game so high on the list of must-have titles this holiday."
The annual battle between FIFA and Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer series looks to be closer than ever this year, with EA finally delivering a host of solid improvements.

minimum ram should be the least of your worrys if you have 3 or more gb and your using win xp/vista 32bit edittion then anymore ram is pointless as windows doesnt recognise any more ram if you have the 64bit version however then having 3gb or more is ok cause it recognises the memory, other than that if your graphics card/cpu are of a low budget pc then youll have to run the game with every thing on low settings so youll need a cpu like a core 2 duo and a graphics card like an x3850 to be able to make it look like what it does on a console like the 360 or ps3.

I'm not entirely sure whether "minimum" and "ideal" go hand in hand, but you're looking at least 1GB to get something approaching decent play.
