'Be A Pro' Ready To Go News

As promised, EA has expanded its 'Be a Pro' gameplay for FIFA 08 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Previously only available as a single match offline training mode, the 'Online Team Play' element of the feature is now available for download via PSN/Xbox Live for free.

The 'Be a Pro' feature has excited many FIFA gamers, allowing them to take control of a single player for a whole match. The gameplay focuses on holding your position while calling for passes and long balls at the right time.

This feature was only previously available as a single player offline exhibition match. However, EA did promise that a vastly expanded 10 player online multiplayer mode would be made available for the 'Be a Pro' feature six to eight weeks after FIFA 08's release. True to their word, the feature can now be downloaded onto your PS3/Xbox 360 automatically as long as you're online.

'Be a Pro: Online Team Play' supports up to 10 players at a time in online matches (five on each side). In 'Online Team Play', players will be able to choose from the new 'Be a Pro' gameplay (which locks you onto one player for the game's duration), or the classic FIFA style which allows gamers to switch between players. The six team members who're not being played by a user at any one time will be filled with AI teammates.
