Ex-Swordfish Studios outfit, Codemasters Birmingham takes on development responsibilities for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC...
Following the release of last year's F1 2009 for Wii and PSP, Codemasters has just announced F1 2010 for a September release on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Unlike F1 2009 though, which was developed at Sumo Digital with a casual audience in mind, F1 2010 is in production at ex-Swordfish Studios outfit, Codemasters Birmingham and has been developed specifically for the HD platforms.
Utilising Codemasters' EGO Game Technology Platform, which powered the likes of Colin McRae: DiRT 2 and Race Driver: GRID, the development of F1 2010 has apparently extended the scope of this tech to, "accurately recreate the unique aerodynamics and handling of 200mph+ Formula One cars".
As well as promises of a damage modelling system, dynamic weather effects, and "extensive" multiplayer options, Codematsers also aims to ship four separate modes with the game: Grand Prix, Championship, Time Trial, and a full Career mode as well.
F1 fans can also rest assured that Michael Schumacher will be in the game at his new spot in the Mercedes GP team, and this year's new addition to the F1 calendar (the Korean International Circuit) will also be present and accounted for. Codemasters is promising the "introduction of several new teams" as well, so we'll go ahead and presume that the Lotus, Virgin, and HRT teams will all make the cut.
F1 2010 marks the first F1 licensed game to appear on the PS3 since the F1 Championship Edition launch title in 2007, and the first Xbox or PC F1 game since EA had the license way back in 2003.

@Post 6: We're aware of the problem and we're working on it. You can log-in at the moment though, it's just that framework for the pop-up log-in window has become see-through so it's difficult to make out. You can still see the e-mail and password boxes/text information though. Post back if you're still having difficulties...
