UK developer confirms that a sequel to Evil Genius is in the works, as well as confirming $1 million investment – plus the odd redundancy…
Elixir Studios have today confirmed that they are to lose 15 members of staff through an internal reshuffle at their North London offices. The news comes as the company announces that it has managed to raise $1 million from their current investors.
Announcing the investment, Elixir CEO Mark Hewitt commented that, "We are very pleased to have closed our planned fund raising and to have the full backing of our shareholdersâ?¦As a company, we are really focused on forging ahead and completing our next title, which is an extremely exciting and innovative game, with a great publisher, as well as seeing our other plans come to fruition."
The company has also confirmed that a sequel to Evil Genius is currently in development, as well working on an original IP for the next-generation consoles. The company has recently confirmed that they are currently producing a title for a US publisher, which they hope will be released at some point during 2006.

Well i think if they made a Evil Genius 2 I think they should...
Let you also make Non - Underground lairs
Make your own Villian and Sidekick dude / dudette.
Let you make a Uniform for your henchmen.
and controll your henchmen on missions if wanted - Use it like your the henchmen you can shoot capture and punch.

Check Kongregate. Plenty of people are making flash versions of Evil Genius. Players love them. And those are just FLASH versions and the have the sad misfortune of not knowing about the great game those are based on. They loved the simple and small flash version, but what about a large full game?

wvil genius will not be made because the company was going to be bank rupt. they were going to make it but they put it off to tell the workers to go home. but the company payed them for a month. if they have money to pay there works to stay home then they must have had enough money to make the evil genius 2

i think that using "the movies" as the last point of reference on the genre is ill-concieved since "the movies" wasnt all that good (A.K.A it sucked) if ur going to make a bad game they should expect a bad profit margin.. but evil genius was a god among the genre and many of my friends are itching for an evil genius 2

it surprises me I am playing EG right now and there are comments coming still to this day.
It really should be made ... I mean even the "meager" reception of tropico 3 (loved it) would spell a small but nice profit. idk. just wishing I guess cause i'd love to see the world dom screen with like live video feeds of your minions menacing around. lol.
