A new RPG for Xbox 360 is confirmed by Namco Bandai on the eve of Tokyo Game Show...

With less than twenty-four hours before the start of the 2006 Tokyo Game Show, Namco Bandai has announced the development of a new RPG for Xbox 360 called Eternal Sonata.

Promising stunning visuals, and a battle system described as "groundbreaking", Eternal Sonata follows the story of a composer who on his deathbed dreams of a boy and girl on an adventure to change the destiny of the world.

"Eternal Sonata will set a new standard in next generation RPGs as it combines an immersive, in-depth story line that will draw the player into the game," Yoshi Niki, NAMCO BANDAI Games America Inc.'s Product Group Director, said. "With a host of impressive next generation features such as a unique monster morphing system, a hybrid of a turn-based and action battle system with a special attack feature dependent on light and shadow, Eternal Sonata will set a new standard for next-generation RPG gaming."

Set for release in North America during 2007, we'll have more on Eternal Sonata in the future...
