In-line with the rumours, a PS3 version of Eternal Sonata has been confirmed for a 2008 release in Japan...

Famitsu reports that Eternal Sonata, or Trusty Bell as it's known in Japan, has been confirmed as a PlayStation 3 release for 2008 in Japan. The title is currently available in Japan on the Xbox 360 (where it has had considerable success given the low unit sales of Xbox 360s in the region) and is scheduled for a European release on the Xbox 360 in October of this year.

The PS3 version of the title is also reported to offer two new playable characters, Crescendo and Serenade.

This slightly obscure Japanese game from Namco Bandai (published by Atari), takes gamers on a journey through the last hours of the composer Chopin's mind prior to his death. Even though the foundation of its gameplay is a traditional RPG, it certainly is a very unique looking title.
