Sierra Confirms Empire Earth III News

RTS fans will get another dose of empire building throughout the ages, with confirmation that Empire Earth III is in development at Mad Doc Software.

Early information suggests battles will take place on a much larger scale then before, by introducing a global perspective that will serve as the battleground between the three warring factions: Western, Middle-Eastern, and Eastern. Consisting of 60 skirmish maps split into 'provinces', players will have the option to conquer real locations on the earth or create a randomly generated globe to triumph over.

"The Empire Earth series has been the recipient of much deserved praise from the media and fans alike, making it a multi-million unit selling franchise for Sierra Entertainment," said Cindy Cook, chief strategy and marketing officer for Vivendi Games.
