Those talented guys at AGB Games have only got a demo of Quake running on the GameBoy Advance...

When id software made the source code to Quake freely available it allowed a number of bedroom programmers o move forward in the world of 3D. It has also allowed the talented guys at AGB Games, to get a Quake demo running on the GameBoy Advance using their quite simply jaw-dropping WFR Engine.

Previous demo’s have impressed us, however this is something different entirely, its Quake godammit, maybe a simplified version, but Quake nonetheless. The developers have got the demo running between 15-60 FPS, and are confident of further improvements through code and geometry optimisations.

<br />
Does this mean we could play id’s classic on the move, unlikely but who knows, it does however mean that there’s a kick-ass 3D engine out there waiting for a game to make use of it, and who said the GBA couldn’t handle 3D visuals???
