CCP's augmented version of the cerebral space MMO is due out soon, aimed at easing new players into the game...
Namco-Bandai has announced that it will be releasing the retail only Commissioned Officer Edition of CCP’s online universe in December, two months after the US launch.
EVE Online is renowned for its steep learning curve, and it normally requires a substantial investment of time for new players to make much progress. The new boxed edition aims to circumvent this barrier to entry by including an item that speeds up initial character development. Dubbed “the Cerebral Accelerator” the item grants new players bonuses for the first 30 days of play that “significantly increase a new pilot’s skill development.”
According to Senior Producer Arnar Gylfason, “The Commissioned Officer Edition is the best way for a new player to get a running start in the highly competitive environment of EVE Online.”
