Dynasty Warriors 6

Twenty-four hours after confirming a January release in North America, Koei has today revealed a European launch of Dynasty Warriors 6 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on March 7th 2008.

Once again retelling the story of feudal China in the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, Dynasty Warriors 6 will be the first time the long-running pseudo-historical franchise hits PlayStation 3. Developed by Omega Force, Dynasty Warriors 6 promises some advances for a franchise more reiterated than 'developers' at a conference held by Steve Ballmer, including the ability to use the landscape to evade the army masses.

"With a brand new engine that makes the very most of the next gen consoles and some incredible character animation this is by far the most impressive looking Dynasty Warriors yet. The detail with which the characters have been created and the numerous new additions should ensure that Dynasty Warriors 6 is a massive leap forward for the series." said Will Curley, Sales Manager for KOEI Ltd.

Dynasty Warriors 6 marks the first time that the series has been developed from the ground up for the 'next-gen' consoles.

It's all about maxing out Lu Bu and running everything on Chaos. The combat with the generals and the peons alike becomes MUCH more intense on Chaos. Like, instead of just staring deep into your blood covered soul, they actually kno[#@!?] over and stab you to death, most notably while defending their generals.

Play on something other than Easy, tardlet turds.

I don't know why you post outright BS about this game. camera problems like u can't look at enemies chasing you without stopping? try walking backwards with down on the left analog stick while you face the enemy. button-mashing? come on, you can jump-attack, roll in any direction, decide which way to swing towards (on low health that's very serious with several bosses on you), blocking, block-attacking, specials, even the strong attack button has two attacks (tap for single, hold for multiple) sneak-attacks into a camp dropping down from a wall and more, i mean u say running away from a boss while your renbou gauge fills up is cheap - man, you're the one running away charging up your meter because you couldn't beat the boss (and if u couldn't do that anyway, u'd have to start all over again just because Lu Bu smashed you in the face 2-3 times). and if you think there's no strategy involved, why not take it to the next level and move that difficulty level off the Easy or Normal settings you obviously based the review on. you can't just run through stages, you have to attack the enemy while protecting your own guys, or you'll lose even at full health. why not try for those additional targets? i mean i seriously doubt you gave this game a real chance given the nature of your review. in short, the gamers got it right - it certainly deserves an 8, nevermind your misguided 5. i have 27 PS3 games right now and it's my favorite without a doubt, and i'll probably still be playing it a year from now, unlike most of the others. again, if you think the gameplay is 'stagnant and underwhelming' try a higher difficulty rating (i mean higher than Normal, at LEAST) without using a max'd out character and see how much strategy you can really live without.
