The first of several updates to the D&D MMO goes live ahead of more content later in the year...

Turbine, Atari, and Codemasters Online Gaming have announced the launch of the Solo mode in the MMO Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach, enabling gamers to explore more of the gameworld on their own.

Over twenty dungeons are available to play in the new mode, which the trinity of companies believe will help new players developer their skills before taking their avatar to the online stage.

"We are very thankful for the support and feedback from our players," said Jeffrey Anderson, president and CEO of Turbine, Inc. "Today's announcement demonstrates our commitment to make the game fun and easily accessible by all types of gamers."

Further additions are expected across the rest of 2006, including the launch of the Twilight Forge module in July, and an untitled module in August. The first expansion pack to DDO is also set to be released by the end of the year, and will introduce PvP arenas amongst other developments.

We'll have more news shortly...
