Duke Nukem: Forever

It has been a long wait, so what we saw for the first time was enough to make us smile with joy. 3D Realms are currently working hard to get this little stunner out, not content with just using Unreal Tournament Duke Nukem: Forever 3D Realms are improving the engine so that it will set new standards in the first person shooter.

You can expect a thrill from this one, Duke Nukem at his best, with a gorgeous 3D Engine which puts Quake 3 to shame, and possibly one of the best storylines in a game of this genre, 3D Realms are really spoiling us with Duke this time around.

From the screens that you can see it looks impressive, the shots are taken on a PC Running a Voodoo 3 at 1024 x768 resolution, textures are 256x256 max. The attention to detail is superb, and the levels are already looking highly entertaining which is a nice break from the linear levels we see at the moment with most of the First Person Shoot ‘Em ups.

From what we saw there is still a lot of work to be done however a late summer 2000 release date is expected.

i really feel bad for the people who were making this game for over a decade. This game should've been so much better.

not to advertise other websites here but gamersyde has a video of duke nukem forever running and it looks sweet as so even with fairly low recomended spec it'll look good and run like sh** off a shovel.

I can't wait for the remake of Duke Nukem Forever. They should get started now if they want to finish it before video games are considered a mocking reference to the kitsch of a dead society. Or maybe that wouldn't matter since Duke Nukem is already a joke about Duke Nukem.

It's a shame but inevitable given the awful dev time of DNF...

i doubt duke nukem forever will materialise, its game engin will be well and truly out of date, releasing it on xbox live arcade or psn is the only way people will consider it a worthy purchase though to be perfectly honest there are far better shooters out there anyway like cod4 or left 4 dead.

LOL Why the hell does anyone EVER pre-order software. I have never in 20+ years ever not been able to stroll into a store and get the latest release off the shelf.
