3D Realms studio boss confirms versions for Xbox 360 and PS3 alongside the PC may hit retail in late 2008...

In an unbelievable move, two pieces of Duke Nukem news has emerged...on the same day! In an interview with the Dallas Business Journal, 3D Realms' Studio Head Scott Miller confirmed that the twelve-years-in-development-and-counting Duke Nukem Forever will be logically heading to Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 as well as the PC:

"We haven't formally announced any platforms for DNF...But, of course hitting the big three makes the most sense (PC, PS3, 360)."

More important than that, it seems that the long wait for the continuing adventures of the Duke will be over by late 2008, even if Miller hasn't quite inked in the release date. In the email exchange with the DBJ, he states that, "we may miss the mark by a month or two, but I feel very confident that we're on target this time."

Further more, the 3D Realms boss revealed that the January rumours of Duke Nukem 3D making an appearance on Xbox Live Arcade were true. So when can we expect to revisit the Duke's past adventure? "We're talking to Microsoft about getting a release slot sometime this year," says Miller.

i really feel bad for the people who were making this game for over a decade. This game should've been so much better.

I can't wait for the remake of Duke Nukem Forever. They should get started now if they want to finish it before video games are considered a mocking reference to the kitsch of a dead society. Or maybe that wouldn't matter since Duke Nukem is already a joke about Duke Nukem.

It's a shame but inevitable given the awful dev time of DNF...

i doubt duke nukem forever will materialise, its game engin will be well and truly out of date, releasing it on xbox live arcade or psn is the only way people will consider it a worthy purchase though to be perfectly honest there are far better shooters out there anyway like cod4 or left 4 dead.

LOL Why the hell does anyone EVER pre-order software. I have never in 20+ years ever not been able to stroll into a store and get the latest release off the shelf.
