Duke Nukem Forever resurfaces at PAX 2010 as development is handed over to Gearbox Software...
As had been previously rumoured, Duke Nukem Forever is currently being re-announced at the Penny Arcade Expo over in the US and Gearbox Software has been confirmed as the new developer of this the protracted 2K Games title.
“ALL HAIL THE KING!! Duke is back! Come check us out at the 2K booth at PAX!” reads the Gearbox Twitter feed, while these photos from the convention provide solid confirmation. If you need any more convincing, then head over to the live feed of the PAX announcement.

Update:
Gearbox's Randy Pitchford has confirmed that Duke Nukem Forever will be releasing in 2011 on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. According to Pitchford, the development team is currently at the "polishing stages".

not to advertise other websites here but gamersyde has a video of duke nukem forever running and it looks sweet as so even with fairly low recomended spec it'll look good and run like sh** off a shovel.

I can't wait for the remake of Duke Nukem Forever. They should get started now if they want to finish it before video games are considered a mocking reference to the kitsch of a dead society. Or maybe that wouldn't matter since Duke Nukem is already a joke about Duke Nukem.

i doubt duke nukem forever will materialise, its game engin will be well and truly out of date, releasing it on xbox live arcade or psn is the only way people will consider it a worthy purchase though to be perfectly honest there are far better shooters out there anyway like cod4 or left 4 dead.

LOL Why the hell does anyone EVER pre-order software. I have never in 20+ years ever not been able to stroll into a store and get the latest release off the shelf.
