EA lists a new Dragon Age title that's scheduled for release during its incoming financial year...
A new Dragon Age title is scheduled for release during the fourth quarter of EA's next financial year (i.e. between January 1st and March 31st 2011) according to a release schedule that's surfaced from the company's Q3 2010 financial report.
The schedule simply lists "Dragon Age Title TBA" amongst its roster of fiscal 2011 games, while the title itself is confusingly listed across all-formats (PC, consoles, and handhelds), which would certainly be a new direction for a game series that has led on PC so far with current-gen console ports in tow.
However, BioWare is currently developing a title called Mass Effect Galaxy for the iPhone (its first game on the platform), which certainly indicates that this new Dragon Age game might also be heading that way.
Whether the game is a full sequel remains unclear at this stage. However, according to a forum post from last year, a BioWare writer called Patrick Weekes let the cat out of the bag by stating, "Many writers are on different projects now, like Dragon Age 2 or the MMO [Star Wars: TOR]."
We're going to go ahead and make the following prediction: Dragon Age 2 for PC, Xbox 360, PS3, and iPhone. While EA is unlikely to release full details until much later in the year, at least there's the first Dragon Age: Origins expansion pack (Awakening) due for release in March.
