Dragon Age's Executive Producer reveals that there is a plan to support the game through DLC for two years...

RPG specialist BioWare has stated that it will be supporting its latest opus, Dragon Age: Origins through DLC for two years after the game launches at the start of next month.

"We have [DLC] plans that stretch out for basically two years," said the game's Executive Producer, Mark Darrah. "And it's going to be everything from really small stuff like item packs up to larger quests that might last an hour or two up to even fully fledged expansion packs. Really it's a broad long term support plan for the game."

Darrah went on to clarify that, while some of the DLC might only be available for the PC version's toolset application, BioWare is nonetheless planning to release most of its Dragon Age DLC across all platforms (i.e. Xbox 360, PS3, and PC). The studio is even "exploring" the possibility of bringing mods from the PC game onto the consoles apparently.

Two portions of Dragon Age: Origins DLC ('The Stone Prisoner' and 'Warden's Keep') will be available at launch for the game, as well as a Mass Effect 2 cross-over item pack called 'Blood Dragon Armour'.
