Nintendo announces a European release date for Retro Studios' Donkey Kong Country Returns...
Nintendo has announced that Donkey Kong Country Returns will be released in Europe just in time for Christmas on December 3rd.
The game, which is being developed by Retro Studios (the same developer behind Nintendo's Metroid Prime games) reunites Donkey and Diddy Kong in their first fully-fledged adventure game since Donkey Kong 64 over a decade ago.
Gamers can play as either Donkey Kong or Diddy in a co-op mode, which allows users to jump on Donkey Kong's back when playing as Diddy should they need to hitch a ride across a tricky section.
We went hands on with the game earlier this year and we were instantly hooked. Retro Studios appears to be doing a great job of recreating the gameplay that made Rare's original games so good back in the 90s.
