...hello Disney Interactive Studios. Re-brand announced for Disney's videogame division...
The Disney Corporation has today confirmed a name change for Buena Vista Games, the company's videogames division. Re-branded as "Disney Interactive Studios", the publisher will continue to release both non-Disney and Disney titles, including the likes of Spectrobes and Turok.
Disney Interactive Studios' Senior Vice President and General Manager, Graham Hopper, commented, "This change reflects our focus on creativity, the weight of Disney content in our portfolio, and the enormous value consumers see in the Disney brand."
The shift in strategy in bringing the full weight of the Disney brand to the division is something of a return to the past, as Buena Vista Games had been previously known as Disney Interactive.
