Diablo 2 is finally here...

Diablo 2 doesn't offer outstanding 3d graphics, a compelling storyline like Half - Life. However if you can break those minor points you are left with a game that is highly addictive, easily accessible, bucket loads of action and a great on-line feature, letting you battle it out against hundreds of enemies with your friends and foes.

Diablo 2 is a classic RRP game which puts you right into a world of literally thousands of detailed bad guys. Your ultimate goal is to complete each level killing as many of them as possible, and then progress to the final dungeon where you most face your ultimate 'Mr. Bad Guy' the Diablo.

Diablo 2 is different from most RPG. Whilst the game does rely on stats and player attributes, this does not take up a huge amount of time whilst playing the game. It really is the basic situation, kill enemies get points, use the points to boost your players abilities, find coins buy weapons and potions, cast spells, kill enemies, etc.

Whilst solo play is a great experience and it will take you ages to complete it with one character, to get the most from the game you simply MUST try it out on Blizzard's dedicated server Blizzard.net. Using a great technology created by Blizzard users can log on, set up a player and then join a game with other players. It's then up to you what you do, join some friends to take down the evil monsters, help fellow gamers, steal, it's your choice. However when you die you lose all your belongings and the only option is to start all over again, so remember to be a but careful on who you challenge, as you may just regret it.

Don't expect an amazingly designed 3D world full of amazing camera actions and cinema like scenes. However Diablo 2 is presented with amazing pre-rendered environments, complete with highly detailed characters and enemies.

Another point to highlight is the graphical effects when spells are cast. Like most RPG games such as Final Fantasy 7 & 8 these make up for the WOW factor in the game.

Bash, Clang, Ahhhh, Hello Stranger. Ok the sound isn't the most important factor in the game, however Blizzard have created such a great atmosphere with scary background music and some great sound effects. But hey, if you've got time to notice the sound effects then you surely aren't pressing that mouse button fast enough. Got it!

Comments
Diablo 2 is simply a great game; it will keep you gripped for hours in single player mode. Finally it will take over your body and soul when you take it to new heights by playing on-line. Please remember there are more things in life then just Diablo 2.
