Devil May Cry is shaping up to be another killer title for Capcom.

Two millennia ago legendary devil Sparda fought to protect the human race against invaders from the demonic realm. Now that the evil has returned it’s your job to send it back to Hell by defeating Dante, Sparda’s son.

So from this early stage of development it’s clear to see that the plot will not be the highlight of this game, I may be wrong but so far it does come across sounding a bit cliché. However at this stage the plot doesn’t really matter if it follows the similar pattern to the Resident Evil series I will be more than impressed.

Devil May Cry is a new style of survival horror from Capcom, yes it will include puzzles with a so called ‘gripping storyline’ but the emphasis is on seemingly relentless action which we all love. Dante comes complete with a very nice looking sword (which I’m certain will allow some very messy fighting scenes), two semi-automatic handguns. If at times weapons are the childish way to fight Dante can put his semi-automatics back in their holster and take the ‘hand-to-hand’ combat style. Or even more impressively, turn into a winged dark avenger which comes when you are part good part bad.

Unfortunately as usual with Capcom of Japan they are being very secretive about this title and are very reluctant to let anything slip from the development rooms. As soon as we receive some new images, videos you can be certain to see them on TVG.
