Capcom today announced that the eagerly awaited return of Dante in Devil May Cry 2 would appear in two different versions of the game. The game will be available in Dante and Lucia versions, namely the two playable characters in the sequel. However confusion arose, as the translations from the original Japanese text indicated that this will be more then the usual packaging varieties usually used to promote a game.<br><br>Some reports suggest that both characters will not be available in the game, meaning that you’ll have to buy both games to play as both characters. To counter this it’s believed that both games will be significantly different to the other, however we can’t help but be baffled by this decision. Firstly it’s likely to confuse consumers, secondly it’s not the best way to introduce a new character to the fold, and lastly it seems as though it’s a blatant scam to get gamers to cough up twice for one of the most highly anticipated titles of next year.<br><br>Devil May Cry is scheduled for release in Japan towards the beginning of next year, with a European release scheduled for March; hopefully we’ll have confirmation soon.<br>
